Rocket Coding/ Image Representation
My second grade students have been practicing a different type of coding used for image representation. This activity gives students experiencing how pictures are displayed using pixel representation. They are drawing a picture using white squares and a color square. The lesson is a modified version of the following CSUnplugged Activity found at here .
Rather than use paper and pencil as suggested, I plugged the lesson in by using multiple apps an a SMART Board (interactive board). Since my class is digital, we very rarely use paper!
